It would be a better picture if it didn’t look like a painting for christ sakes. Enough with the color saturation…Where is the reality in this photo? It lacks soul…

I have never seen this one before. Why don’t you that picture with the highway full of Serb refugees from Croatia, I think it is better known then this one.

the reason they don’t have it is because there would be NO POINT in showing the suffering of the aggresors.

Slovenian, Croatian, Bosnian Muslim and Albanian militias attacked Yugoslav troops first. The Serb minorities within Croatia and Bosnia were defending themselves (even though they went on the offensive) and Kosovo war was the result of Albanian KLA attacking Serb civilians and government officials.

And there really is no such thing as an “aggressor” in a civil war.

Even further back- Has anyone seen the pictures of the thousands of German civillians killed by Poles long BEFORE Hitler invaded?
I have some of these, and know that were these modern pictures of American civillians slaughtered by Poles, the US population would- like the German one did-for war against Poland, and Poland would be a smoking ruin within 3 days.
I am sick of the consistent lies and hypocracy. The world is far different to what most people imagine. The answer- seek out the truth for yourself- whatever they tell you to think.
Identify the ones who do the lying and don’t believe anything they tell you.

What are half you morons yapping on about, seriously, accept the photograph for what it symbolizes, unity in the face of oppression. Quit going on about such and such started this etc.

It’s simply the innocence of a child caught up in something it had nothing to do with, there’s nothing more beautiful than the innocence of a child and nothing more tragic than a child having war amongst other things being thrust upon it.

the bottom line is survival, these people are trying to stay alive ; keep their family existing. A cheap art class critique is not deserving, nor is the political B.S. The photo is wonderful and does what great photos are meant to do capture a moment in the past and portray that moment, that instance,era,emotion to those that are lucky enough to open themselves to it.

this a a great pic. it defines the value of family & how we can survive, the baby is just showing us how we don’t care what happens during war, the lives we can affect, the tragedy we impose upon the innocent. I hope we all learn something
