Picture was taken in 1946 in India by Margaret Bourke-White who was sent there to cover a story about India’s independence. In order to let her take the picture, Mahatma Gandhi asked her to learn to use the spinning wheel first. Frustrated at the beginning, she learned to use it in the end.

Sacrifice came in the form of thousands of lives who were massacred during the partition…
Even after partition, when Pakistan became an Islamic nation, India remained a secular state…
And what have u gained by s-called freedom? A tortured community, which later got freedom from Pakistan and formed Bangaldesh? or ur dictator His Highness Gen. Musharaff?
